However, no mosque similar to the Satmasjid can be seen anywhere else. According to popular belief, their creator was Nawab Shaista Khan.

সাতমসজিদ মোহাম্মদপুর, ঢাকা 

মোহাম্মদপুর বাসস্টপের আনুমানিক ৫০০ মি. উত্তরপশ্চিমে অবস্থান। ১৭.৬৭ মি. দ্ধ ৬.২২ মি. পরিমাপের মসজিদটির সালাতকোঠার উপর এক সারিতে উত্তর-দক্ষিণে লম্বালম্বিভাবে তিনটি আধাগোলাকার গম্বুজ এবং চার কোণে ছোট আকারের চারটি গম্বুজ রয়েছে। তাই বহু দিন ধরে লোকের মুখে মুখে ‘সাতমসজিদ’ নামে পরিচিত। সামনে অনুচ্চ দেয়াল ঘেরা একটি পাকা চাতাল রয়েছে। চাতালের পুববাহুর মাঝে অবস্থিত একটি ছোট আকারের তোরণ দিয়ে ভেতরে ঢোকা যায়। তোরণটিও একটি স্বতন্ত্র স্থাপনা গণ্য হতে পারে। সামনে সুপ্রশস্ত বাগান। সবুজ ঘাসের মাঝে মাঝে কেয়ারিগুলোতে বিভিন্ন মৌসুমি ফুলের বাহারি আকর্ষণ সব সময় লেগেই থাকে। বাগান পেরিয়ে সড়ক। সড়ক পেরিয়ে একটি আট-কোনাকার ইটসুরকির স্থাপনা। লোকে বলে শায়েস্তা খাঁ’র কোনো-এক কন্যার মাজার। ছাদ ভল্টকরা একটি গম্বুজ দিয়ে ঢাকা। এ ধরনের আর একটি স্থাপনা চা’নবাবগঞ্জ জেলার রোহনপুরে দেখা যায়। তবে সাতমসজিদের অনুরূপ কোনো মসজিদ অন্য কোথাও দেখা যায় না। প্রচলিত বিশ্বাস অনুযায়ী এগুলোর নির্মাতা নবাব শায়েস্তা খাঁ।
